Satay is a Southeast Asian dish of skewered and grilled meat, served with a flavorful peanut sauce. It’s a popular street food in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Ingredients:
- 500g chicken or beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
For the Peanut Sauce:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 garlic clove, minced
How to Make It:
- Marinate the Meat: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, peanut butter, lime juice, garlic, turmeric, and cumin. Add the meat and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Prepare the Peanut Sauce: Combine peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, coconut milk, and garlic in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until smooth and well combined.
- Skewer and Grill: Thread the marinated meat onto skewers. Grill the satay over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
- Serve: Serve the satay with peanut sauce and a side of cucumber salad or rice.
