Overview:
Momos are steamed dumplings filled with a variety of fillings such as vegetables, chicken, or pork. They are a popular street food in Nepal and Tibet and are often served with a spicy dipping sauce.

Ingredients:
- For the dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Water, as needed
- Pinch of salt
- For the filling:
- 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (cabbage, carrot, onion, etc.) or minced chicken/pork
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the dipping sauce:
- 2 tomatoes, blanched and peeled
- 2 dried red chilies, soaked
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt to taste
How to Make It:
- Make the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Filling: Heat oil in a pan and add the ginger-garlic paste. Add chopped vegetables or meat, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until done. Let the filling cool.
- Assemble the Momos: Roll the dough into small, thin circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle, then fold and pleat the edges to seal.
- Steam the Momos: Steam the momos for 10-12 minutes or until the outer layer is translucent.
- Make the Dipping Sauce: Blend the blanched tomatoes, soaked red chilies, and garlic into a smooth sauce. Season with salt.
- Serve: Serve the hot momos with the spicy dipping sauce.
